After being awake for 22 hours, we finally made it to our condo in Waikiki. We have a view of the ocean (between two buildings mind you) from the lanai (that's balcony for you mainlanders) and a view of the mountains from the bedroom. The condo is nice but there are some omissions like curtains in the bedroom! The floor to ceiling sliding door makes for a splendid view of Waikiki lights but not much privacy. Luckily the door faces north-west or we would be awakened by sunlight @6:00.
We had an early start thanks to our body clocks telling us that 5:00 AM was really 11:00 AM. After an lazy start we got the beach at 10:00. The beach was clean and the ocean warm with nice 2 foot waves. We sunned and frolicked in the surf like kids.

After lunch we did some "retail therapy" at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. This high end mall was open air with a roof in places to protect against sun and wind. We had dinner in the food court and went to see "Super 8". Interesting movie but not very good.
