After a leisurely breakfast of apple cinnamon macadamia nut pancakes, we hit the beach. Before you get impressed with our culinary expertise, the pancakes were a mix.
As usual the beach was packed.

We also spent some time up the beach near diamond head by the pier. There were people playing the the waves. Here's a movie:
After a great takeaway Korean lunch for one that was enough for us both, we wandered around Kalakua street. At the western end are the older hotels like the Outrigger, Royal Hawaiian and Mona Surf Rider. They are more elegant and capture the breezes better since they were built in an era of no AC.

Patio @ Moana Surfrider Hotel |
We ended the day with a dinner on the patio @ the Moana Surfrider and watched the sunset. Sunsets are not as glorious as at home since there are few clouds over the ocean and they don't last very long.
